Wix Website
created for you

Present your services clearly, manage content yourself and bring enquiries together in one place: a Wix website can combine these tasks within an integrated platform. We plan the structure, design and functionality around your business – not an arbitrary template.

Wix and Wix Studio: considering design and organisation together

Wix offers visual website editing and a range of business features. Wix Studio focuses particularly on creating refined layouts and responsive views. We determine which workspace and feature set suit your project based on your content, workflows and future maintenance. A demo shows possibilities; it does not replace a review of the actual platform configuration.

Which projects is Wix suitable for?

If you want to explain your offering, add new content regularly and organise appointments, Wix could provide a suitable foundation. A services website, for example, needs clear service pages and a straightforward way to enquire. An event page focuses on dates, information and registration. A members’ area, by contrast, requires careful planning of access, visibility and permissions. We do not treat these requirements as interchangeable add-on boxes. Together, we decide which tasks the website should actually handle and which processes should remain outside the platform.

In Wix Studio, layouts are designed visually. What matters is not just the freedom to position elements. Text, images, navigation and user journeys must also work together effectively at narrower widths. A layout that looks elegant on a large screen can become cramped or confusing on a phone. That is why we plan spacing, order and flexible sizing from the outset. The simplified design canvas illustrates this relationship without recreating the real interface.

Select text, an image or a button and move the element using the arrows. Your choice of device changes the available workspace. In a real project, we also set sensible limits: text needs enough width to remain readable, a button must remain accessible, and important content must not be visible only on desktop. Responsiveness therefore means more than shrinking a finished page. We review the hierarchy of your information and test the design with both short and longer content.

Wix CMS: change the content, keep the presentation

03 / Wix

Recurring content can be organised into collections. Rather than recreating each team member, service or article on a separate page, suitable fields are defined. A shared layout can then generate dynamic pages from them. This makes maintenance easier when the content structure is stable and clearly defined. The demo uses three fictional entries and runs entirely in your browser. The title, category, description, image and status update the preview immediately.

For your project, we review which details are genuinely needed and who may edit them. Required fields, clear field names and well-organised images help with future work. Publication status and permissions need to be configured deliberately; a CMS does not automatically make private information secure. Before handover, we test the planned editing workflows with typical content. If the structure expands later, we review the effects on existing records, navigation and dynamic pages together.

Service, time and confirmation

04 / Wix

An appointment website needs more than a calendar. Visitors need to know what a service includes, which details are required and what happens after an enquiry. Wix Bookings can support different booking workflows; availability, rules and the required plan are checked separately. We distinguish between a binding booking and a non-binding enquiry. This decision affects the wording, form fields and confirmation. The preview only provisionally selects a demo appointment.

For the real setup, we discuss services, duration, staff allocation and organisational constraints. Cancellations, rescheduling and notifications are also part of the process. We avoid unnecessary required fields to keep getting in touch straightforward. Before a booking feature goes live, we test the planned workflows and the feedback shown to users. The demo does not send an email, create a customer record or reserve a time slot. Your entries disappear when you reset or leave the page.

Multilingual functionality with a clear content system

05 / Wix

A multilingual website needs consistent content and clear ways to navigate between languages. Headings alone are not enough: navigation, buttons, descriptions and contact information must align. Wix Multilingual offers language management options; we check support for specific business features and CMS content against your intended scope. In this local preview, German, English and French switch independently of the language of the Widmer & Kunz website. The displayed URL path changes too.

Before implementation, we define which pages should be available in which languages and who approves translations. Incomplete language versions are not presented as finished content. For search engines, we consider each version’s page structure, titles and language associations. Translation is also a content task: offerings, terminology and calls to action must suit the target audience. Automated assistance can be useful, but it does not replace subject-matter and language checks.

Site structure and discoverability go hand in hand: SEO search engine optimization and GEO optimisation help put things into perspective.

Velo: turning an input into a planned workflow

06 / Wix

When standard features are not enough, custom workflows can be implemented with Velo and suitable interfaces. However, a conditional form field, a calculation or targeted processing of CMS data needs a clear specification. We first describe which inputs are allowed, how they are validated and what feedback should follow. The required functions are then programmed and tested. The schematic preview shows how the workflow changes with your selection.

Additional features bring responsibility. Data access, error handling, notifications and ongoing support all need to be considered. An automated email does not become a reliable process simply through a visible checkbox. We assess which solution is possible within Wix and where an external service might be useful. The demo only shows a workflow state. It does not run any code on your Wix account or change any data or permissions.

Carefully weigh up benefits and limitations

What the platform can support

  • Many website and business features within one platform
  • Visual design and centrally managed publishing
  • CMS collections for recurring content
  • Custom workflows can be added where needed

What we check first

  • Features and availability depend on the chosen plan
  • External apps may incur additional and ongoing costs
  • Moving to another platform requires planned content and functionality migration
  • Complex custom features require development, testing and support

An integrated platform makes some organisational tasks easier. Even so, content, access and ongoing costs must suit your business. We therefore assess the entire planned workflow, not just the visible starting point.

Plans, business features and external apps are reviewed separately before implementation. Any later move to another system is planned around content, URLs and functionality; we cannot promise that all tasks will transfer automatically.

From concept to a Wix website you maintain yourself

  1. 01

    Define goals and features

We clarify what information and features visitors need and which processes your team would like to manage.

  2. 02

    Structure content and collections

Recurring information is given clearly labelled fields. Individual pages and dynamic content are deliberately kept separate.

  3. 03

    Design layouts and device views

The design takes account of text, images and user journeys across different screen widths.

  4. 04

    Configure suitable business workflows

Forms, appointments and additional features are configured to meet the agreed requirements.

  5. 05

Test editing workflows and contact options

Visibility, feedback and editing are checked using typical content.

  6. 06

    Arrange the introduction and handover

The handover explains the agreed maintenance areas and responsibilities for future changes.

Existing content is reviewed before a rebuild. For the technical setup of your web address and email, we consider Domain Support and Business email. A clearly planned handover helps your team understand the intended features with confidence.

An existing website needs the right next step

If you already have a Wix website, it is worth starting with an objective review of its structure, content and contact journey. The Website analysis helps put things into perspective; a Website improvement focuses on agreed changes. Content, design and technical decisions are not optimised independently.

A clear introduction is especially important when several people edit collections, appointments or page content. The Website training can support the planned maintenance. For discoverability, we consider SEO search engine optimization and GEO optimisation without guaranteeing rankings or results.

Frequently asked questions about Wix websites

Is Wix or Wix Studio more suitable for us?

That depends on your design, feature requirements and future maintenance. Wix Studio enables refined responsive layouts; what matters is that the chosen workspace suits your team and your project. We do not choose the system based on its name alone.

Can I change content myself later?

Yes, the agreed editing areas are prepared for this. Text and CMS entries should be editable without changing the underlying layout. We account for the changes you want to handle yourself when planning the structure and explain them during the introduction.

Are bookings automatically included?

No. Available features, the required plan and organisational rules are reviewed for your project. A non-binding appointment enquiry is also different from a binding booking. Together, we plan the right solution and the associated feedback.

What is a dynamic CMS page?

Multiple records use a shared page layout. The fields in each entry populate the intended presentation. This is suitable for services or articles, for example, when the structure, visibility and permissions are carefully configured.

Can a shop be added?

A small online shop can be part of a Wix website. The product range structure, purchasing process, payments and operational workflows still need to be planned separately. Our online store creation service is available for platform-independent preparation.

Can the website have multiple languages?

A suitable language structure is possible, but it must be fully maintained. We check support for the required features and clarify responsibility for translations, the URL structure and search engine information. No language version should be published with unfinished placeholders.

When is Velo needed?

Velo is an option when a custom workflow cannot be implemented effectively using the planned standard features. Scope, permissions, testing and future support are discussed beforehand. Not every website needs custom programming.

Which ongoing costs should be considered?

The platform plan, apps, extensions and any external services are reviewed for each project. We do not quote fixed platform prices here because terms may change. What matters is a clear overview of the planned ongoing commitments.
