Webflow Website
created for you

A well-defined brand presence comes from clear design rules and carefully structured content. With Webflow, we combine responsive layouts, CMS and purposeful interactions. Motion supports your website's message – it should neither obscure information nor make the site harder to use.

From design grid to a maintainable website

Webflow enables visual control over layouts, components and interactions. This freedom is useful when classes, spacing and content models are organised clearly. That is why we plan not just individual views, but a consistent system for your pages. Features, CMS limits and additional integrations are assessed against the project requirements.

Which projects is Webflow suitable for?

Webflow can be a suitable foundation when design and content need to work particularly closely together. A brand presence, for example, needs carefully guided imagery and text; a campaign page needs a clear path to action. Editorial content benefits from a well-planned CMS structure. Not every business needs elaborate animations or numerous custom layouts. We distinguish between visual impact and functional needs and choose the tools accordingly. The website should remain understandable without motion and provide equivalent information on small devices.

Making layout rules visible

02 / Webflow

Width, padding and the number of columns affect readability and how content works together. In Webflow, these decisions are implemented visually, but still require a sound understanding of the underlying structure. The layout demo shows immediately how a few rules change the arrangement. Desktop, tablet and smartphone each have a limited workspace. Controls remain compact on small devices; a high column count is not blindly carried over into a layout that is too narrow.

For your project, we define recurring spacing and clear exceptions. A grid should support content, not the other way round. Long headings, different image formats and additional text are therefore considered early on. Classes and components are organised so that changes remain easy to follow. The preview deliberately simplifies the actual design. It does not change any Webflow settings or access an account. Which rules will later be managed centrally and which locally is documented during implementation and explained at handover.

A timeline with clear states

03 / Webflow

Purposeful interactions can explain relationships: an element enters, moves into position and is then highlighted. Purely decorative motion, on the other hand, can distract from the information. The timeline offers three different sequences and a visible status. As you scroll, the start, entry, movement, highlight and final state become clear. Replaying is explicitly supported. Users who prefer reduced motion receive a clearly understandable state without animated transitions.

We plan animations alongside content order and loading behaviour. Large media files, extensive effects and several simultaneous movements can put a strain on the website. We therefore assess which interactions make a genuine contribution and which should be omitted. On a smartphone, a simplified presentation may make more sense than reproducing the desktop experience exactly. Keyboard operation and visible content must not depend on a precise scroll position. An animation is neither a substitute for descriptive text nor a prerequisite for understanding the essential information.

Webflow CMS: one record, multiple views

04 / Webflow

CMS Collections organise recurring content into fields. An entry can appear in an overview, a category and a detail page. The demo shows this relationship using three purely illustrative records. Project name, industry, colour, short description and status affect the views immediately. Here, the term project means a fictional design example, not a client reference. For your actual website, we define content types based on your services, articles or other recurring information.

A useful CMS needs clear relationships and easy-to-understand editing fields. Too many special cases can make editorial work harder; too few fields make content inflexible. Before implementation, we therefore assess how content should be searched, grouped and displayed. The chosen plan's quantity limits and features are also part of the decision. Publication status, image management and SEO fields are configured deliberately. The demo only simulates this content logic. It does not publish a page or change a Collection or an existing website.

One component, multiple individual pieces of content

05 / Webflow

Recurring design elements can be organised into components. A shared change to the component should then affect the intended instances, while individual content remains distinct. The preview contains three cards with the same button style. If you change the button text or corners in the main component, all instances update. A custom title for the middle card, however, remains local. This distinction is central to keeping your website consistent while allowing flexible content.

We plan components with more than the current number of pages in mind. Common content types and possible extensions are considered without creating unnecessarily complicated variants. A shared change can affect many pages and must therefore be easy to follow. For the editorial team, we explain which content is managed locally and which rules belong to the shared component. This turns visual repetition into a practical system. The demo only changes three local views and does not write any data to a Webflow project.

Language and region are part of the content

06 / Webflow

German for Switzerland and German for Germany may require similar, but not always identical, content. Terminology, notices and calls to action should suit the intended audience. The localisation demo switches the language, URL path, image, button and search result preview. An explicitly fictional price serves only to make the difference between CHF and EUR visible. It is neither a platform plan price nor an offer from Widmer & Kunz. All information shown remains local example content.

Webflow Localization offers various options; features and terms depend on the plan used. Before implementing a multilingual site, we clarify which regions are actually served and who approves the respective content. URL mapping, page titles and complete translations go hand in hand. A language switcher alone does not create a suitable international website. We avoid unfinished placeholders and check navigation between the planned variants. The language selection in this demo changes neither your official website language nor any saved settings.

Site structure and discoverability go hand in hand: SEO search engine optimization and GEO optimisation help put things into perspective.

Carefully weigh up benefits and limitations

What the platform can support

  • Precise control over responsive layouts
  • CMS structures and reusable components
  • Purposeful interactions and integrated publishing
  • Localisation can be added where appropriate

What we check first

  • Complex structures need clear class and content planning
  • Animations must not compromise performance or usability
  • CMS features and limits vary by plan
  • Business functions may require external services or integrations

Precise design needs boundaries to keep the website consistent as new content is added. Agreed rules matter more than having as many individual effects as possible.

Plan terms, CMS limits, localisation and potential third-party providers are reviewed for each project. Visual freedom should enable a clear, understandable website, not create avoidable dependencies or special cases that are difficult to follow.

From grid to complete Webflow website

  1. 01

    Clarify content and brand impact

We organise information and define how the visual impact should support the content.

  2. 02

Plan the grid and design rules

A shared grid and consistent spacing create a clear foundation.

  3. 03

    Model the CMS and components

Collections and components are structured around future maintenance tasks.

  4. 04

    Implement pages and interactions

Targeted interactions are combined with clear static states.

  5. 05

    Test devices and reduced motion

Device widths, keyboard use and reduced motion are considered together.

  6. 06

    Explain maintenance and publishing

The introduction explains content editing, shared building blocks and approval workflows.

For an existing website, we first review the content, structure and planned changes. To establish a suitable technical foundation, we consider Domain Support and Business email. Design changes and editorial maintenance are assigned separate responsibilities so that shared building blocks remain easy to understand.

An existing website needs the right next step

An existing Webflow website may need targeted adjustments without having to replace the entire structure. The Website analysis helps put things into perspective; a Website improvement focuses on agreed changes. Content, design and technical decisions are not optimised independently.

Anyone maintaining Collections and components needs a clear overview of shared and individual changes. The Website training can support the planned maintenance. For discoverability, we consider SEO search engine optimization and GEO optimisation without guaranteeing rankings or results.

Frequently asked questions about Webflow websites

Is Webflow purely a design tool?

No. Webflow combines visual design with CMS, publishing and other features. To keep the result maintainable in the long term, layout rules, classes, content and potential integrations still need to be planned systematically.

Does every Webflow website need animations?

No. Motion is useful when it explains information or helps users find their way. A website without motion can be just as appropriate. We decide based on the content and assess performance, mobile usability and reduced motion.

Can I add CMS content myself?

The agreed Collections and editing fields can be prepared for this. The tasks your team should handle are taken into account during the build. An introduction explains records, media, status and the intended publishing steps.

How do components differ from CMS content?

Components bring together recurring design and behaviour. CMS entries organise recurring information into fields. Both can work together, but serve different purposes. A clear separation makes shared changes and individual content editing easier.

Does the layout work automatically on every device?

Responsive design must be planned and tested. Flexible rules help, but do not replace checks with real content. Long words, image formats, navigation and paths to action are also tested on small screens.

Are multiple regions and languages possible?

Localisation can be configured to suit your needs. The features available depend on the chosen scope and plan. We plan complete content, suitable URLs and search engine information rather than simply adding a visible language switcher.

Can I integrate specific business processes?

This may require suitable third-party providers or a custom interface. We first assess which data and workflows are needed. Access permissions, error handling, data protection and ongoing support are part of the decision.

Which limitations should I know about early on?

CMS quantity limits, plan terms, localisation and specific features are assessed for each project. Future maintenance effort and potential external services are also considered. We do not promise an unlimited solution or guaranteed search engine rankings.
